San Diego Comic Con is upon us and IGN readers were polled on which panel they’re most excited to see. Unsurprisingly, readers have chosen Marvel’s return to Hall H as the biggest panel event this year.
We asked readers which San Diego Comic Con panel they’re most excited to see at this year’s event, and over 30,000 of you weighed in. The top pick, as chosen by 42.5% of readers, is Marvel Studio’s big event this Saturday.
Marvel Studios Returns to Hall H
Marvel Studios is once again hosting a big panel at Hall H after skipping Comic Con in 2018. With Avengers: Endgame wrapped up and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in flux, all eyes are on Marvel to reveal what’s next for Phase Four.Even without any official announcements, we at least have some ideas about what Marvel is working on currently. Films like Black Widow, The Eternals, and Shang-Chi are in development alongside sequels like Black Panther 2 and Doctor Strange 2.Marvel also surprised everyone by announcing Thor 4 is in the works with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi returning to the helm. Chris Hemsworth will of course reprise his role as the god of thunder.Marvel Studio's panel is at 5:30 P.M. on Saturday, July 20 in Hall H.
The Witcher Could Be Netflix's Next Big Thing
In second place at 26.4% is Netflix’s The Witcher TV series. Netflix’s upcoming series is based on the original Polish fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, and not CD Projekt Red’s own video game adaptations of the source material.Henry Cavill stars as the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, and the roles for important characters like Ciri and Yennefer have also been cast. With The Witcher set to premiere sometime in 2019, we can hopefully expect to see the first trailer for the series at Comic Con.The Witcher panel is in Hall H at 2:15 P.M. on Friday, July 19.
IT Chapter 2, Star Trek, and the Rest of the Pack
IT Chapter 2, the sequel to the megahit Stephen King adaptation, and Star Trek: Picard practically tie for third place with 13.4% and 10.7% respectively.The IT Chapter 2 panel already wrapped, but you can watch the final IT Chapter 2 trailer that premiered there. Moderator Conan O’Brien also hosted IT stars Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, and the rest of the grown-up Losers Club.On Saturday at 11:30 A.M. in Hall H, CBS All Access will host a panel for Star Trek, giving attendees the first look at Star Trek: Picard. Star Trek: The Next Generation captain Sir Patrick Stewart will be in attendance, and there will also be some details about Star Trek: Lower Decks, a new animated Star Trek series.
